Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino moved into its new gaming space as construction crews put finishing touches on 808 new slot machines, 18 table games, two restaurants, a sports bar, a four-level parking ramp with 725 spaces and surface parking for 400 additional cars. The 67,000 sq. ft. facility replaced a temporary structure that had stood since 2007. SCMC managed $47.5 million of the project’s $130 million budget. Work lasted approximately 13 months, was completed two months ahead of schedule and produced 600 construction jobs. Native American culture is prevalent throughout the design, including a floor-to-ceiling “Tree of Peace” structure at the main entrance and an illuminated/animated electronic feather marquee atop the roof outdoors.

In January 2016, the Seneca Nation and Seneca Gaming Corporation broke ground for a $40 million expansion of Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino, which significantly added to the excitement and experience visitors enjoy. The $27.5 million project consisted of a two-story expansion of the existing casino, adding 28,500 additional sq. ft. of space on each of two levels. The ground floor received 300 additional slot machines and additional table games, including a high-limit room and expanded non-smoking area, and a performance stage for live entertainment. The second floor of the expansion introduced new restaurants with indoor and outdoor seating, as well as banquet and meeting space and spectacular city views.

The Seneca Buffalo Creek Casino expansion design and construction took cues from its location just two blocks away from the KeyBank Center – the strong regional water influences of Lake Erie and the Buffalo River are meaningful cultural elements significant to the Seneca Nation.
