With passage of its Class III Gaming Compact, the Seneca Nation embarked on an aggressive plan to build a stronger foundation for its economic sovereignty. As the nation’s economic capabilities grew, so did its ability to develop industry specific business enterprises to effectively manage, protect and grow its financial investments for its future generations.
Since its inception in 2005, Seneca Construction Management Corporation (SCMC) has completed state-of-the-art gaming and hospitality facilities, infrastructure, recreation, and support service and cultural centers to grow the Seneca Nation’s quality of life and empower its economic prosperity.
All SCMC projects are completed on the nation’s lands located on the Cattaraugus, Allegany and Oil Springs Territories and in the cities of Niagara Falls and Buffalo, New York. As a result of its success, SCMC established 7GENS LLC in 2015 to provide interior turnkey specialty construction solutions for off-territory construction projects. To date, 7GENS is a regional leader in design, manufacturing supply and installation in the areas of architectural specialties, furniture, fixtures and equipment, interior design, food service equipment, tile and stone, and paint and wallcoverings. The company was recognized in 2017 as a Business First of Buffalo Fast Track organization for its strong growth rate.
A special Nya:Weh to the Seneca Nation leadership, for its foresight and guidance in development of SCMC, and for relying on our collective intellect and diverse skills to continue the battle to protect our inherited sovereignty.
“We cannot allow the tears of the past to blur our vision for the future.”
