The former Salamanca Hospital campus consisted of the two-story hospital structure, a maintenance garage/office building, a garage building, a storage building, and modular offices. The demolition of these buildings involved mold, lead-based paint, asbestos containing materials, PCB-containing electrical systems and mercury-containing equipment, as the majority of the structures were constructed in the early to mid-1900s.

Appropriate measures were taken to identify any and all hazardous materials prior to the demolition. The project SCMC managed had several demolition subcontractors for the safe, secure and legal demolition, asbestos removal, handling, loading and transportation and disposal of various types of debris generated from the demolition.
